Dame (Dr.) Georgiana Farrugia Bonnici
graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Malta in the year 2018.
She has worked as a foundation doctor at Mater Dei Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, Karin Grech Hospital, Primary Health Care Centres, Community Mental Health clinics, as well as the Malta Covid-19 public health response team, within the Ministry of Health, from the years 2018 till 2021.
In the year 2019, she has also embarked on a medical missionary work experience in Jhansi, India.
In the years 2022 till 2025, she ventured as a General Practitioner trainee with the Primary Health Care Department in the Ministry of Health. She has attained further experience at the local Telemedicine Client Support Centre, Gozo General Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre and Hospice (Malta).
Over the past decade, she has worked in several settings such as family medicine, psychiatry, general/colorectal/endocrine surgery, acute medicine, internal medicine, rheumatology, orthopaedics and trauma, geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine, accident and emergency, public health, respiratory medicine, cardiology, ENT, opthalmology, palliative care, paediatrics, dermatology, medical imaging, obstetrics/gynaecology.
She has completed her GP specialist training programme, and became a Family Medicine Specialist in the year 2026.
Dame (Dr.) Georgiana Farrugia Bonnici has also completed a Bachelors of Science Degree in Diagnostic Radiography, as well as a Masters of Science Degree in Family Medicine. She also values Preventive Medicine, and has attained various diplomas in Cardiology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & Mindful Mental Health, Homeopathy & Reflexology, Gerontology & Geriatrics as well as Creative Writing & Interior Design.
She is currently reading for a Post Graduate Certificate for Ultrasound in Family Medicine and an Advanced Professional Certificate in Leadership & Management.
She is currently working as a private family doctor at Beta Pharmacy (Ghaxaq), San Gwakkin Pharmacy (Marsascala) and Blossoms Pharmacy (Birzebbugia). She is also the managing director of a work-in-progress Klinika Ta' Biba (Fgura).
She is an avid researcher, a knighted member of Priory Knight Templars (Malta) - Pieta' Del Pellicano, a clinical peer reviewer, a medical content creator, a Family Medicine clinical supervisor, neurodiversity rights, pro-life and mental health advocate as well as a voluntary work activist.
