She began her medical education with six years of rigorous studies in Poland, which laid the foundation for her career in medicine. During her studies, she was actively involved in the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA), which gave her the opportunity to participate in exchange programs in Japan, Thailand, and India. This allowed her to gain experience in Asian hospitals. She also served as the local president of IFMSA in Łódź for a year. Additionally, she was involved in learning and later teaching sign language to her future colleagues, as well as organizing and coordinating various medical events.
Following her studies, she completed over a year of internship across various departments, gaining hands-on experience in:
- Internal Medicine
- Cardiology
- Orthopedics
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- General Surgery
- Emergency Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Paediatrics - Gynaecology and Obstetrics
Upon finishing her internship, she embarked on a residency in paediatrics. During her five years of practice, she specialized in general paediatrics. This period included rotations and work in several paediatric wards to broaden her expertise, including:
- Paediatric Allergology
- Paediatric Pulmonology
- Paediatric Gastroenterology
- Paediatric Cardiology
- Paediatric Neurology
- Paediatric Rheumatology
- Paediatric ICU
- Neonatal Wards
- ENT Department (Ear, Nose, and Throat) for children
- Paediatric Dermatology
- Paediatric Surgery
- Paediatric Nephrology
- Paediatric Ophthalmology
- Infectious Diseases Department for children
- Paediatric Oncology and Hematology
- Paediatric Endocrinology
During her residency, she gained knowledge in both outpatient and inpatient clinics, staying on duty for five years in general paediatrics and paediatric neurology. In the meantime, she collaborated with the medical publishing company Medycyna Praktyczna (Practical Medicine) for doctors, helping to add more practical content in a bi-monthly journal aimed at paediatricians and family doctors—"Pediatria" (Paediatrics)—and contributing to paediatric conferences organized by the publisher twice per year.
Throughout her training and practice, she focused on the treatment and care of children in various medical fields, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of paediatric healthcare. After her residency, she primarily worked in outpatient paediatric clinics, ranging from small towns like Gluszyca to big cities like Wrocław. In her free time, she was actively involved in pro bono work for the medical community, with great support from the local Medical Council in her region. She organized conferences for medical practitioners, providing them with easy access to up-to-date medical knowledge in various fields.
During her medical career, she progressed from being a medical intern and resident to a specialist and eventually head of an outpatient clinic. When she first visited Malta in 2019, she fell in love with the small island of Gozo, and the idea of moving here began to take shape.
And here she is now, embracing another challenge by moving to the beautiful country of Malta. She has started a new chapter of her life here in Gozo, serving the population with paediatric consultations both at the clinic and at patients' homes.
